As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our buildings, we would like to bring to your attention that we are going to be embarking on a ROOF TOP ASSESSMENT SURVEY at the beginning of MARCH 2024.

The purpose of this survey is to identify and remove all old, broken, defunct and outdated items on the roofs of each building.  There are a number of scrap metal vendors who will collect these items for free - which is good news for our budget as there is no extra costs for us.

We kindly request all owners to assess their rooftop spaces and identify all defunct fixtures or fittings that belong to you so that we can arrange for their removal.

Please will you take a photo and send to us so we can include any items in our rooftop assessment.

Note: we will NOT remove any fixture without prior notification and without the owner's permission.

Key Reasons for Removal of these items:

  1. Safety Concerns: Defunct rooftop fixtures, such as old antennas, unused satellite dishes, or deteriorated equipment, pose safety risks. Over time, exposure to the elements can weaken structures, leading to potential hazards, especially during adverse weather conditions.

  2. Structural Integrity: Removing defunct fixtures helps maintain the structural integrity of the rooftop. Unused or outdated equipment can contribute to unnecessary weight and strain on the building, potentially causing damage to the roof and compromising its overall stability.

  3. Aesthetic Improvement: The removal of defunct fixtures contributes to the visual appeal of our building. A clean and well-maintained rooftop enhances the overall appearance of the property and positively reflects on the entire community.

  4. Energy Efficiency: Outdated or malfunctioning rooftop equipment may be energy-inefficient. By removing defunct fixtures, we can ensure that only functional and energy-efficient equipment remains, contributing to sustainability efforts and potentially reducing energy costs.

  5. Compliance with Regulations: Regular removal of defunct fixtures helps ensure compliance with local regulations and building codes. Many municipalities have guidelines regarding the installation and removal of rooftop structures, and adherence to these regulations is essential for the safety and legality of our building.

Your cooperation in this matter is highly appreciated, and it contributes to the safety, functionality, and overall improvement of our community.

Thank you for your attention and commitment to maintaining a safe and aesthetically pleasing living environment for us all.
