When we stepped into our roles as your committee, our first priority was to review the expenses incurred in running Limnaria Gardens for 2023 (and previous years); and put together our budget for 2024.  We are happy to confirm that we have managed to keep the increase to 3.5% (less that the current inflation rate).

We set out with great enthusiasm and immediately went to work on some projects to improve the complex, but were not aware initially about some legacy financial challenges that will limit what we can do.  This includes:

•  needing the security deposit fund, and

• not including an enhancement fund this year to keep the increase low.

We believe that fiscal discipline is better for all rather than heading off on a spending spree.  Because of this some of our plans will be moved to Q2 or Q3 to ensure we always have sufficient running capital to keep Limnaria running smoothly.

We might have to raise a special fund for some projects, but we will keep you aware of this and also ask for you to give us feedback on an online poll that we will set up.
